It's that drive that pushes us forwards. Overhauling the removals and clearances industries, combining everything together, handling items through our in-house auction—we're revolutionising how second-hand goods are processed.

Hidden Gem Removals and Clearances operates from the heart of the Midlands. We’re part of the Hidden Gem family, alongside Hidden Gem Auctions and Hidden Gem Antiques, based in Bloxwich.
Our removals and clearances arm operates as a fully comprehensive service, offering bespoke removals, clearances and estate valuations to all clients.
Since 2023, we’ve been making life easier for our clients. Moving house, clearing out a precious space, or rehoming belongings—tackling all these things can often be overwhelming. Organising the practicalities while juggling emotions, work schedules and sensitivities isn’t easy.
That’s why we’re here.
By combining removals, clearances and estate valuation into one concise package, we minimise fuss and complication, with just one point of contact to cover all your item handling needs.
We understand that, for some of our clients, these jobs come along at times of grief and stress, and it’s our mission to make your next steps easier by handling the practicalities with compassion and tact so you can focus on what’s important, and leave the item handling to us, worry-free.
Our focus is on supporting and assisting you as you go through that transitional period, handling the practicalities and identifying any hidden gems you might have.

Bradley Perham
My adventure with Hidden Gem started back in 2022, but I’ve been on this business journey for as long as I can remember. I officially took the reigns in 2023, and I’m proud to say we’ve come a long way since then.
Since a kid, I’ve been drawn to trading, finding something with hidden value and turning it into something useful for someone else. Buying and selling items is in my blood.
I’m driven by this endless sense of adventure, and the desire to do something that really benefits people in the long run. We aren’t just here to get rid of things—we give people an alternative to the traditional (wasteful) ways of handling removals and clearances.

Ultimately, Hidden Gem really reflects who I am. It excites me every day—no two days are the same! The surprises and constant challenges that come with this work thrill me. Whether it’s interacting with people, exploring new places, or the countless items I handle daily, it’s a genuine joy that keeps me inspired.
The world is full of discovery, and that’s what keeps me hooked. I’ve embarked on this quest, and even though you can’t ever be sure what tomorrow brings, I know its mission is important.
Beyond the excitement of the job itself, I see myself as the architect behind the scenes, constantly striving for growth and pushing the company to improve. I have a mental map that’s forever evolving, a path I’m carving out for us to follow. The work can be heavy, but it’s worth it to steer this ship in the right direction.
I like to think of Hidden Gem as part of the fabric of the community. We’re there at the beginning of peoples’ new chapters, helping them move into their new homes and settle in. And we’re there at the end, helping clear out when it’s time to say goodbye. It’s a delicate balance, and we’re here to make the journey smoother, no matter which part of the cycle someone’s in.
Outside of work, I’m always exploring, meeting new people, and seeing what the world has to offer. I love the outdoors, food, cities, people—I just love learning. There’s always something new to discover. And that unpredictability excites me. But above all, I love my family, and I want to build a solid foundation for them to lean on long after I’m gone.
Discovery is a thread that runs through every part of my life. There’s something exhilarating about uncovering what others have overlooked, that hidden gem waiting to be found. Maybe one day, we’ll stumble across something worthy of the British Museum.
This job is an endless journey of discovery, and that’s what makes it so captivating. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’ve been in this line of work for 12 years, and I’m still hooked on the thrill of it.
You never know what you’re going to find with clearances. It’s like a treasure hunt every time, and the best part is finding those hidden gems for the customer and help them save money. Times are tough for a lot of people, and that feeling of making a difference really makes the job worthwhile. I also love being on the road, meeting new people, and discovering new places – there’s always something fresh and exciting.

We’re not a corporate company—we’re just regular people helping other regular people. My nan always told me, “Don’t look down on anyone unless you’re picking them up,” and that’s a philosophy I carry with me.
Outside of work, I’m a dad of five, so my free time is all about family. I’m always running the kids around, whether it’s taking the lads to boxing or doing whatever my teenage daughters want (because, let’s face it, they don’t understand the word “no”!). I come from a big family myself, one of nine, so family is everything to me.
Jane Perham
Every day is like a treasure hunt, and the more I delve into this job, the more I uncover.
I’ve been with Hidden Gem for just over a year now, but I’ve been involved since the very beginning. After retiring from the council in December 2023, I came on board as the Auction Manager, bringing my love for organisation and detail to the team.
Every day is a fresh adventure – opening boxes, discovering hidden treasures, and learning about all the items we sell. There’s something exciting about not knowing what’s coming next, and I thrive on making sure everything runs smoothly from start to finish.

Helping, supporting, and assisting our clients really energises me. There’s nothing like the thrill of seeing a client’s surprise when something they thought was worthless sells for much more than expected. That’s the magic for me – making someone’s day by uncovering the value they didn’t know they had.
The joy on their faces, their astonishment, and their sense of wonder do it for me. It doesn’t matter how much planning, time, or stress goes into getting us to that point—it’s the final moment of elation that keeps me coming back for more. But there is a lot of work behind the scenes that people don’t see! Making sure every item is listed correctly, checking the details, keeping everything organised. It can be chaotic at times, but I enjoy the challenge. It’s like a swan – calm on the surface but paddling like mad underneath!
I’m also really passionate about the personal side of things. Many of our clients are going through tough times, like clearing out a loved one’s estate. I always make time to listen to their stories and make sure they feel comfortable. It’s not just about selling things for me. It’s about caring for people and taking just a little bit of the burden off their shoulders.
Being part of a family business means a lot to me, too. My son, Brad, is building this business for his kids, and I’m lucky to be part of that journey. Hidden Gem is a family affair, and I love being able to work alongside people I care about.
Hidden Gem is a community hub for us. We’re right on the high street, and we’re always welcoming regulars who pop in to browse or chat. Whether people are looking for something high-end or just something unique, we’ve created a space where everyone feels welcome.
At the end of the day, it’s all about helping people, finding those hidden gems, and being part of a growing business that feels like family. Doing a job I love with the people I love – I couldn’t ask for more!
